Be ready. Here’s the first track you can hear from my soon-to-be-released album, “How To Become”. It comes in the form of a moving water video meditation. I hope you find it inspiring. (The video is at the end of this article or here.)
Water
Human bodies are more than 50% water. You’d think we’d all make sloshing sounds when we move. But obviously, it much more complex and integrated than that. There’s a powerful sense that we come from water.

Maybe this abundance of liquid in our bodies is why moving water is so — well — moving. Whether it’s waterfalls, ocean surf, or just the simple sound of running water, I’ll bet there is something inspiring or soothing about water for most of us.
Waterfall
Many wise and poetic folk have written from their water inspirations. Here are a few examples. (You’ll also find these in the video, of course.)
“There is a waterfall in every dream. Cool and crystal clear, it falls gently on the sleeper, cleansing the mind and soothing the soul.” ~ Virginia Alison
“I’m really quite simple. I don’t want to be in the business full time, because I’m a gardener. I plant flowers and watch them grow. I don’t go out to clubs. I don’t party. I stay at home and watch the river flow.” ~ George Harrison
Moving Water

“The waterfall is nature’s laughter.” ~ Unknown
I would love to live
like a river flows,
carried by the surprise
of its own unfolding.
~ John O’Donohue
“The river is constantly turning and bending and you never know where it’s going to go and where you’ll wind up. Following the bend in the river and staying on your own path means that you are on the right track. Don’t let anyone deter you from that.” ~ Eartha Kitt
Moved
“Maybe we can’t make sunsets, rainbows, or roses, but we can be kind and smile at our neighbors. In the simple flow of the river and powerful pour of the waterfall, we can see how each of our kindnesses is part of making a better world.” ~ Stan Stewart
Moving water! It’s true, at least for me, can’t resist a waterfall. Mesmerizing!
Thanks for dropping by, Gary!
