Inspiration from tall Taughannock Falls

I don’t have much to say. Just this one thing: I am so grateful to live in an area with so much inspiration.

Big T Inspiration

In particular, Taughannock Falls is always spectacular. When it’s dry, the rock face and the incredible single-drop waterfall still inspires. During high volume times, the massive passage of water pulled by gravity is breathtaking.

It’s not unusual to see this high volume in winter. And that’s just the inspiration I got when a friend and I hiked in to the base of the waterfall at the first of this new year.

Taughannock

This time of year, it can be very intensely gray around here. I know that some people find this to be a downer. When it is, I just keep looking. But I’m not saying it’s easy.

Especially during this pandemic, we need to be very creative about finding inspiration while remaining safe. I find myself searching for creativity to keep things inspiring. Thankfully, nature’s sights are “open year-round” even if beautiful places like the Taughannock Falls State Park have to shut down.
