Wreckless – a lyric poem

i cannot sleep
not even eat
just want to get this out of my mind
this has been on
for far to long
i feel the shiver run down my spine

can you explain for me
the seasons of despair?
move sun and rain for me
this heart repair?

i’m ready to wreckless
to fill the part of me that knows no reason
i’m setting to wreckless
to make a peace to hold on to

guiltiness fight
can’t even write
heaviness sets in to weigh me down
forging itself
firing its health
makes of me less than i want to be

then suddenly outpours
this multiplex of metaphors
the floodgates open wide
and from them pours

i’m ready to wreckless
to fill the part of me that knows no reason
i’m setting to wreckless
to make a peace to hold on to

on a crash course
accident
waiting
to happen

getting
shivers
down my spine
out
of my mind

ready, set
wreck-less

can you explain for me
the seasons of despair?
move sun and rain for me
this heart repair?

wreckless

i’m ready to wreckless
to fill the part of me that knows no reason
i’m setting to wreckless
to make a peace to hold on to

i cannot sleep
not even eat
just want to get this out of my mind
this has been on
for far to long
i feel the shiver run down my spine
