I try not to complain about rain.
There’s something beautiful and calming
about the way that it splashes,
Creates a drumbeat
on the earth,
a pulse on our heads…
umbrellas…
And our human responses are
so rhythmical, too.
Like feet splish-splashing
in puddles
or the swish-swash
of windshield wipers.
I really try not to complain
about rain.
I really do love
its cleansing:
The beautiful water of life.
The way it washes down cheeks;
covers over tears.

about rain.
I really do love
its cleansing:
The beautiful water of life.
The way it washes down cheeks;
covers over tears.
I really try not to complainabout rain.
For without it, I know that
I’d never see light refracted
in crazy, zany, colorful ways;
turning plain, clear light
into amazing rainbows.

Love your prose about rain. I feel the same, although not crazy about being behind the wheel in a hard downpour.
Opened my mail this morning and there you were. Thanks so much for the follow … back at ya.
