With sincere gratitude, I humbly accept the “One Lovely Blog Award” from Amberr Meadows. She is a wonderful connecter of people that I’ve already mentioned here.

One Lovely Blog Award

muz4now got an award

The “rules” regarding this award are:

  1. Acknowledge the giver of the award (see above).
  2. Tell seven random things about myself.
  3. Award the One Lovely Blog to 15 other bloggers.

Seven random things about me:

  1. I have a sniffly nose right now.
  2. When it’s raining, I enjoy watching the drops coming down.
  3. My favorite instrument to play is the guitar.
  4. I can’t stand to be away from my iPhone for more than about a minute.
  5. There was another version of the award logo. I chose not to use it because the one above seemed a little more manly. (But you can view it at designedbyann.)
  6.  I’m really sarcastic. In spite of what my wife thinks.
  7. Since I stopped drinking (alcoholic beverages, that is), I have an almost constant craving for dark chocolate. Sometimes I give in to the craving. (I think that was 3-things-in-1.)

Fifteen other wonderful blogs/bloggers who deserve this award:

I’m not going to use numbers here. These are in no particular order. They are all awesome.

  • Kate Arms-Roberts - I could never say enough good stuff about Kate’s writing. She inspires me consistently.
  • Derek Sivers – The way most people think of Seth Godin is how I think of Derek Sivers.
  • SOULCHICKEN (aka Lenore Perconti) – She’s my niece. I am not biased about her quirky writing style or awesome, illustrative photos.
  •  InterPlay Monday Morning Email - Random except that it’s always about InterPlay or some other body-based philosophy.
  • Mandala Design Works blog – actually four different bloggers/artists on one site. Yes, you caught me. I’m one of them.
  • Artists Road by Patrick Ross – blogs about lives of “the creative”. Terrific.
  • The Social Freelancer – Tracy Ready is a friend and superb in his output on artists (especially musicians) in social media.
  •  ZenHabits - the first blog added to my Google Reader and it’s still there. Huge readership.
  • MuseInks (Ami Hendrickson) – just discovered her this week and I love her style.
  • Kimberly Bordonaro – personal branding. OK, maybe a bit “corporate” in her look, but good information.
  • MusicRoom – as the masthead says: everything for the musician.
  • The Clear-Minded Creative – I like almost anything from Scotland. ;-)
  • Jennifer Warters – who blogs at Rainbow Foundation and elsewhere.
  • Diana Brunson - a friend who writes from her heart.
  • Derek Flynn’s Rant With Occasional Music
There you go. Thanks again to Amberr! And be sure to visit all the blog links…
Playful blessings,
Stan

  1. You do have a lovely blog! Thanks for “paying it forward” with some other great blogs that I haven’t experienced…yet. I’ll be checking them out, and continue to rock, Stan.

  2. Diana says:

Wow! Thank you! You are so sweet. I’m humbled. And…you and my son have a couple things in common. He’s very sarcastic. And admits it. He’s also a musician and I think his favorite instrument to play is the guitar as well. It used to be the drums. He hasn’t had any gigs for a long time and doesn’t really do much with his music. Skateboarding was always his focus. Still is somewhat. He’s a 27 year old kid-at-heart.:) Now he’s in college and has a wife and daughter. ~sigh~ All grown up.

Hmm, I wonder what random thoughts are gonna come out of my head.:)

Years ago, I used to always have “Write From the Heart” in my signature on my blog. Then I started censoring myself so I was no longer writing from my heart. I’ve missed that.

You have one of the blogs on your list that I want on mine. And you’re one of the bloggers.;-)

This is going to be a fun blog post to write.:)

    Keep the muse-ic playin’

      Diana,

You are so welcome. I can’t wait to see what you do with this post, either!

Thanks for sharing from your life/heart again (about your son, for example). You are so “real”. I really appreciate that.

I encourage you … invite you … to yourself speak your mind (i.e., to not censor).

      Playful blessings,
      Stan

  3. Patrick Ross says:

Stan, thank you so much for including me in your list, and your kind words. I’m familiar with some but not all of those other blogs; time to do some exploring.

Oh, and a word of advice: When watching raindrops fall, make sure you keep that iPhone dry.

    • muz4now says:

Thanks, Patrick. And very funny. ;-)

I truly read your blog word-for-word. Thanks for the inspiring, soul-searching and skillfully crafted posts.

      See you around the BlogoTwittersphere.

      Playful blessings,
      Stan

P.S. Thanks for the mention of this post on your blog! (See, I do read it.)

  4. Stan,
Thanks for the award. I’m honored, and pleased that you discovered my blog. I, too, self-medicate with dark chocolate. If I could play the guitar, it would be my favorite instrument to make music upon. Sadly, I am still in the beginning stage, struggling to produce a decent-sounding “F” chord. :( My favorite instrument is the piano which, after 9 years of forced piano lessons as a child, I play well enough to get through a song but badly enough to envy those who can *play.*
    Cheers!

You’re so welcome (fellow Virgo), Ami!

Great to hear from you and I am TRULY blessed to have connected with you and your MuseInks.com blog!

      Playful blessings,
      Stan
