Visions Of Autumn

Color

Music is a way of creating color in sound waves. Where I live, it is Autumn. That means that color is everywhere. The cooler air is colored differently, diffusing sunlight and moonlight in ways that seem to decorate everything we can see with our human eyes. Majestic sunsets turn more vibrant than ever in Autumn’s palette. And, of course, the deciduous trees paint the landscape with their changing leaves, often shifting from one color to the next before turning brown and dropping to the ground. There, the leaves become a bed or carpet of softness and beauty.

Visions

I usually limit the way I see my art to the auditory channels of music. But given my recent addition of a dance/storytelling/singing ensemble (more about that soon), I sometimes expand my attempts to be creative. This morning, as I looked over my recent photos, I was surprised to see this Autumn world painted throughout several of the images. So it occurred to me that it would be fun to share them with you, especially if you either are not on Instagram or have not yet discovered my stream of pics there.
