Two intrepid
Harbingers of anticipatory cusps
Zip surreptitiously
Over torpid landscapes.
“Blah!” Shouts one.
“Bliss!” The other.

Hola Stan,
I was just online and, as usual, the procrastination faerie knocked on my door via the email notification of a new post on your blog. 🙂
I like your poem, because it made me look up in the dictionary almost all words, so, as a language freak, I love when this happens.
The very beautiful sunset (sunrise?) photo is a perfect companion to the poem, as it probably encloses the poem’s hidden meaning.
Nice.
Saludos,
Ivette 🙂
Ivette,
Your expert response is the perfect companion to this poem. I’m so happy and grateful!
I really appreciate what you said about the picture. I believe that the poem can stand on its own. And when I looked for a photo to compliment (or magnify?) it, I was drawn to this one. In my mind’s eye, the two are traveling in a desert.
To say more would rob future readers of their chance to imagine their own landscape and meaning for the poem, so I’ll say no more…for now.
Playful blessings,
Stan
