#Poem – siblings

Siblings all:
We make silent agreements not to breathe each other’s air
Or steal the ground where another’s feet already rest.

And though some will count these agreements as somehow noble,
It is time to break the silence and care for each other in ways far
Beyond these most essential requirements.

If each one is my sister and my brother, then family I shall make
You and treat you with the deep respect you deserve.
Break the silence of secrets and befriend your siblings. All.
