The golden setting sun is mostly hidden by clouds. It is framed on either side by the silhouette of trees.

Pondering Earth

A visual poem.

All of these photos were taken within about five miles of our home. They are here as reminders of how inspiring and beautiful the earth is.

The silhouette of earth bound trees lines the bottom of the sky as the sun has disappeared below the horizon. The sky is hazy, but with only a few wispy clouds.
A variety of pink and yellow flowers fill a garden that looks like a haven for butterflies.
The bloom of the thistle plant looks beautiful, but those thorns on the stem can be painful.
A handful of fluffy clouds hover above the silhouette of a forest.
A river flows from a small, yet wide waterfall. All around the water is lush vegetation ranging from soft, pink flowers to tall trees of a forest.
Pink, red, white, and yellow blooms fill a garden.
A stream and waterfall divide a lush green forest in two.

I am also deeply concerned for all this beauty and inspiration. May we human beings treasure it in gentle care.
