My spouse and I were just on holiday. Here’s a bit of the beauty we enjoyed.

Beaches

Ocean waves coming on to a sandy beach. The sky is half filled with fluffy clouds.
This sandy beach has had many feet cross it, creating a very bumpy surface to the sand. Near the shoreline I are a few small pieces of drifted logs. The surf has a few whitecaps near the beach.
The vertical, wooden poles from an abandoned dock extend from a beach out into the water. The sky has only a few, low clouds and the surface of the water shows only a murmur of waves.

Lighthouses

A white lighthouse with a mixed sky of blue and clouds. To the right of the lighthouse is a small building with an A-shaped roof and then a larger building with rough wooden shingles on its walls. The buildings each have windows. There is a wooden fence with 2 vertical beams extending from the smaller building.
Under a cloudy sky, a lighthouse is prominent among a few other buildings just beyond a smooth, sandy beach.

Sunsets and Sunrises

Silhouetted against early signs of sunrise is a sign made of wire, with the word “ART” in all-caps. Buildings on the left and bushes on the right are silhouetted against a sky with a few orange clouds near the horizon.

The almost full moon is partially shadowed by a few wispy clouds. Below it is a beach with many footprints and a few sand dunes beyond it. In the distance, on the beach are some wind-surfer kites and an empty lifeguard tower. The ocean surf is on the right side of the beach. There are a few shorebirds flying. It is just past sunset, so the light is dim.

More Beauty

A humpback whale rises above the ocean surface. The waves on the ocean are mild and the sky is partly cloudy with very fluffy clouds.
Seaweed covers a beach. The ocean surf is coming towards it.

I’ll be back to music-making tomorrow. And it looks like I will bring plenty of inspiration with me.

    What a beautiful panoramic view of the beach at the start of your holiday Post: with the crisp daylight and soft shadows, clouds and water. Looks like a nice, memorable, enjoyable time! Thank you for sharing the beauty of the seaside.
