Perhaps by the end of the day
There will be a story or two to tell.
In a each moment, there may seem to be nothing,
But when all of the moments are added together,
It’s as if they have multiplied and strung together
In some eureka of a formula that could hold the
Secret of existence.
I’m not even trying to be dramatic here.
It’s just that I want to get across the magnitude
Of everyday life. It is important. It can be graceful;
Grace filled, is what I mean by that.
Yes. I’m struck by how amazing the sum of a
Seemingly mundane day can be. And then, I recall
The backdrop of an entire life — however, long or brief —
And I see how the perspective shifts again.
It’s easy to get caught up in the task, the day,
The lifetime. So, perhaps for now, all that’s needed
Is to turn my head in a different direction and see
What’s right in front of me.
