Why is it that adults put
So little importance on
Their favorite color?
There’s nothing to be
Embarrassed about.
It’s a simple attraction.
Having them is like
Having a tiny itch:
We may be able to
Analyze and learn
Much from knowing
Just why this is
So intriguing to us.
But this is as if to
Say that everything
In our lives and our
Selves
Is subject to our
Severe scrutiny.
What would happen
If we were to enjoy
Our own desire
Without judgment
and psychological
Investigation?
What if we were to
Enjoy our favorite
Color as a simple
Pleasure.
(Play with that for a while and
Wear a big, juicy, red smile.)
