When the bees were together, they lived wonderfully. They made terrific honey and worked
for the good of all.
But then something happened that should never happen when such goodness abounds:
the bees' hive was smashed.
Yes, their home was utterly obliterated. In that instant, every one of the bees' lives were entirely
changed.
Each on their own could not make honey. The cold nights and lonely pursuit of survival
threatened their lives.
I want this story to have a happy ending. That would be easy and would feel good.
But the truth is this: real community is life.
